Masks on domestic flights
Has anyone flow a domestic flight in Mexico lately? Curious whether masks are still required on flights and in airports. We're flying next week on
Volaris from Tijuana to Loreto.

Just flew from Mexico City to La Paz on Aero Mexico last week, and yes, masks were still required both in airports and planes.

The CDC has just recommended a return to indoor masking for my county - Barnstable (in Massachusetts) due to an increase in positive tests. My boss
and several colleagues have been affected, but none of them have had symptoms requiring hospitalization. I'm continuing to work remotely (as I have
since March 2020) but haven't worn a mask in public for several months. I have several hours of meetings at my workplace on Monday, during which I'll
likely wear a mask while indoors. I'll also likely wear a mask during a flight to California next month, although it's very tough to find N95 or KN95
masks on Cape Cod.

This is exactly how it should be. A personal choice.
Should wear an N95 mask if you are gonna wear one. Cloth masks are pretty much useless. Surgical masks are better, but not great.
There are a ton of N95 masks on Amazon. You can get them delivered the next day. Go with a name brand if you are worried about counterfeits.

Not only positive tests but hospitalizations are going up nationwide, don't remember about Massachusetts.
N95 are plentiful from $20 or so per box of 10 on Amazon. They are less comfortable than rags that most people wear, but tolerable for a few hours
flight and provide better protection. When others are no longer wearing masks on the plane, your N95 becomes the only barrier between you and the
disease.
KN95 is a Chinese standard, I prefer 3M brand. Mostly you'll find 8210, 8511, 8211, 9211, green 1860 and folding Aura models. Capped models like 8511 are more comfortable, they are
bigger and probably a little safer, with a foam strip around the edge. Most models have "braided" straps but some have latex-like straps, those break
easily.

I've just ordered a 20-pack of N95 masks from Amazon for just over $30. With Amazon Prime I should get them over the weekend - in time for the visit
to my workplace on Monday and with plenty of time before I fly to California in June.
My wife and I went out to dinner last night at a brewery in Falmouth with plenty of outdoor seating. We didn't wear masks, nor did any of the workers.
I don't believe either of us were exposed, but we'll probably test ourselves anyway for our own well-being. Next Thursday we plan to attend a concert
in Fall River (MA) that requires proof of vaccination. I don't believe masks are required, but we'll probably bring some as a precaution.

We went to football games in CA in the Fall. They said over the speaker outside many times that masks were required.
Once inside, no one cared what you did. This is Sept to Dec.

This should last you a long time. They are not really disposable as in "single use". If you put it on the shelf or in a paper bag after use, any
virus there will have died in 40-50 hours.
