La Cueva del Pirata

Spent a couple nights at the motel here in Camalu and ate dinner both evenings at this resturant. Great food - first evening almost all of our party had Lobster and they were large. First they serve complimentary crab claws in some red tasty sauce. Then soup, then the lobster with vegetables, rice, beans and a little salad. Then they brought baked potatoes. A great meal - wife and I neither could finish the lobster - and I always eat the expensive stuff first. 195 pesos for the feast.
The next evening had a chicken - shrimp dish - excellent - again the crab claws first, then soup and the entre with the vegs etc. Wife had Cornish game hens. They also had quail and the usual fish, shrimp and steaks. Fillet Mignon for 110 pesos and friends said it was great. Wife and my meals were about 100 pesos each.

Didn't open till 8am so had breakfast back up on the highway - several bieria places and a yellow cafe serving american style breakfasts which friends said were great.
