Bajo seco info/Loreto spearos

Hola!

Going to be in the Loreto area and looking to maybe connect with some divers to learn about the landscape, ie where we are allowed to free dive with the park and all. If you’re a FREE DIVER and are in Loreto, feel free to PM me to connect.

Also, looking for the numbers for Bajo Seco south of Loreto. It’s is not on the chart. Would love any info on decent areas to dive outside the park. We can go north and south. Boat will be on a trailer. I could trade some BOLA and San Francisquito islands numbers you via PM, or feel free to post publicly if you don’t mind. Looking for cabrilla, grouper, parto, YT…. Usual suspects.

Thanks in advance!

Yes I am. Been FREE DIVING and spearing throughout Baja for over 20 years. I have only dove south of Loreto once, many years ago. Getting a little older and decided it’s time to take a break from roughing it with washboard roads and sleeping under the stars and go to a place where there are some amenities. Lencho, do you have information pertaining to my questions regarding areas to spearfish near Loreto?

Thanks!

Panga charters dedicated to spearos are everywhere anymore, both sides of the peninsula, (even the high spots way off shore in the Pacific).

I'm sure you won't have a problem finding a pangero in Loreto. Maybe do a hire one day to save yourself some fuel and learn a spot or two.

I've been diving around Loreto for a while now. Bajo Seco is a bit tricky, but there are some great spots outside the park. I'm more into spearfishing though, you into that too?
