whale shark outing

We decided to go swimming with whale sharks yesterday....Les, myself, mom and my niece. Water looked choppy and that probably should have made us reconsider but .....

off we went!

Can you believe my Mom at 84?

My mom's mask didn't feel right so she gave up from the getgo. The other group went first and were back within 10 minutes.

I jumped in the water and it was so cold and so choppy that I gave up real quick and got back on the boat. Verrrrrrrrrrrry disappointing but I really want to try it again.

The whale sharks are out there and they are HUGE and so gentle.

My niece Bruna got to swim with one and since she is only here with us for 2.5 days, that is a success story!

But here is the eureka moment - the guide and I are talking and she mentions that she is from LA LAGUNA which means the laguna de san Ignacio.....so I mention that I have 3 Beca Blanca college students from there.

Names ? she says

Alberto Pioquinto .... don't know him.

Ramiro Peralta....he is my cousin!!!

This is the Ramiro that went to the US for a month to improve his English and learn about our culture. Isnt that really incredible?

so, she took a selfie of herself and I and sent it to him and I took a shot of her....

Here is Lupita

Where did they take you to? Somehow I forgot to do this when we were there.
