BOLA Fishing Report - Oct 2022

I fished BOLA for the first time in October from my 16 ft Klamath. Overall fishing was great! The weather was mild with light winds all week. We caught mahi, bonita, sharks, sierra, spotted bay bass, barracuda, cabrilla, triggers and several we could not identify. Others were catching yellowtail but the mahi had our attention. Most fish were caught trolling with surface lures or deep divers, never too far from the launch ramp. Bottom fishing off points and islands provided instant results. We stayed at Guillermo's which was convenient since they are right next to a boat ramp. They cooked most of our fish which was really convenient and delicious. Looking forward to a return trip next year.
