1000s of new autos in storage?

On our trip to Mazatlan for the eclipse, we were driving past the harbor and came across literally thousands of new cars in storage. No idea if they are waiting to be shipped out of the port or if they are imports. Anyone have knowledge of this?

I'd guess they were being ready to ship or be distributed. Similar in Chula Vista like this location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fxEvPNcBQycp9AdXA

In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

I drove by a lot of vehicles like you describe between Mazatlan and the airport in December and saw thousands of sedans (OK, maybe hundreds). I was wondering the same thing......I thought maybe it was overflow for car rental places but I also thought it was too gigantic for that.

"Terminal logistica Elyon", with 26 car assembling plants in Mexico, and some close to that port, maybe your next new vehicle was parked there sometime:D

Seems like the build them faster than they can deliver them. Pretty common in the US as well
