Baja 7-07 Part 7: Mulege mission, Guerrero N. old warf, the trip home.
This is the last part of the July '07 trip report... continued from Part 6 at: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=26128
Saturday, we sadly had to head home... it would be nice to have Sunday to unpack, clean up, etc. but not sure if we could get from Concepcion Bay to
Oceanside, CA in one day's drive (without driving after dark south of El Rosario).
If we got too tired, then we could stop...
We were are packed up by 8 am (I think it was) and drove north to Mulege... AFTER one last swim in beautiful Concepcion Bay!!!
We went up to the mission in Mulege...
Founded in 1705, Mision Santa Rosalia de Mulege was the fourth mision in the Jesuit chain and operated for 123 years.
The stone mission church construction began in 1766 on this high bluff, safe from floods.

We had a great lunch at Ricardo's 'Rice and Beans' in San Ignacio (San Lino actually)... Fish tacos and carne asada tacos...
Next was the military check and right across from it was the roadside cafe that was used in the movie 'Bajo California: The Limit of Time'...

12 more miles up the highway is the well signed road to San Francisco de la Sierra, where the giant cave paintings are a mule ride away!
