The first time we went to Mama's last year it was crappy food and high prices. Shame on them.

We decided to give them another try a couple months later - thought maybe we hit them on a bad night. Crappy food and high prices. Shame on us! :fire:

Last time I ate and stayed at Mama's was in the mid 60's, great food, wonderful memories of spending a few days with her. I never went back, so, I think I will just stick with that memory. Ni modo.

Sounds like number two on the Nomad boycot list.

1: Rosarito Beach

2: Mama Espinosa's

We ate there a few weeks ago. I had battered fried shrimp and french fries. Not especially cheap but really good, especially the fries.

Better meal than the McNuggets I had in La Paz. Yummy!

OK, I should stay of off food threads....

Are you sure Paula isn't correct?

Don't you just love eating things you can't pronounce let along hae a clue as to what they are, like dimethylpolysiloxene and tumorigen?

The comedian Galagher had a great comment about McNuggets. Thery're proof that if you coat something in sugar and deep fry it Americans will eat it.
Mama's has gone downhill over the years and it's too bad. I love those lobster burritos. One year I had some left over that I put in the cooler. The next day I popped the hood of the truck after crossing the border placed them on the engine drove north for several hours. They were tasty.

Great cooking technique, BentOne! If you parked in front of Mama's and cracked eggs in a pan on your engine, by the time you got to the other end of town, over all those topos, your eggs would be scrambled and cooked. :tumble:
