"So given that you are so familar with the name did YOU donate to her cause?"

not germain to my point, and whether or not i donate to her or anything/one for that matter is not for public consumption.

Thanks Bushpilot

I don't see Emy until I get home in Sept/Oct. I am organizing this little fund raiser from an very, very, far away place whilst dreaming about Mulege.

She did contact the Rotary but her old email account locked up and I don't know if she sent on the new info. to you. I will send her the link to this so she can follow everybody's words of encouragement.

Thanks again everybody.:bounce:

There appear to be several angels involved in Emilia's adventure. Thanks, AKMAXX . . . "Somewhere, just out of sight, the unicorns are gathering," and it would be a terrible sorrow to miss the party.

I felt comfortable with Paypal and it seems to be working.
If she goes over her total I don't want any money back , I'm not rich but I won't miss it.

thank you JW, JB, and BK we are at around $2400 now

Don't know the exact total, cause people might have delivered some in person to the banks. More well-wishers on the way thanks to people with mailing lists that I don't have.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can:spingrin:

Ricardo - you are gentleman

IF she goes over by a little then the kindergarten kids in Mulege are all going to get new pencils. If she goes over by a lot then she will send it back. That's the deal.

Here is a picture of her playing Snow White for the kids last year. She really does have a good heart.

Thank you J and LG, MS, TW, and MB. Getting closer every hour.

Amazed at how many of you aren't even from, or never have been, to Mulege or met la doctora Emilia.

True altruism. Micro-philanthropy. Kharmic circle. Pay it forward. Whatever you want to call it, it is working.

Come on down and see what a good place it is. Thanks for your contributions.

Gracias Emrandolph.....We are stuck at $2700 all day.

She has to send the money to the University in Guadalajara by the end of July, so there are only nine days left.

She is biting her fingernails off for worry and that isn't good for a doctor.

Ask you friends to give Paypal a shot and I am sure the folks she has received contributions from have already gotten a personalized thank you from her.

She is very grateful and Mulege is proud of one of their own going to medical school.:saint:

Thank you Shari...PayPal is the best way to go

because it turns out there is a problem with bank information I provided, not enough numbers to get it to her account. IF any of you tried to wire money directly to her bank from the states, please try Paypal or U2U me for more details.

Now you are tugging at heart strings akmaxx! The love of my life is a pretty little doctora from Baja. I got real lucky when she married me. It was something she dreamed of doing, and she went out and did it! It cost her a year of seclusion in a little pueblo in Sonora, as the only doctor for miles, without pay. She says it was easily worth it. Emilia has a dream, and with the obvious support of friends and family, it will be realized!! I know Mulege can use a good doctor, but mine is working in La Paz! I hope this will help you get the money together before the deadline is up. There is 100 in your account already. Come on Nomads! You may find yourself in Mulege in 7 years, in dire need of a doctor. Give till it hurts!

sometimes people think...dang...I got no money, I cant donate to all these things....but ya know folks, even $10 will help (same as a bottle of vino or case of beer)...every little bit adds up and there are thousands of us Nomads so if the majority of the members even gave a small amount, Emilia would reach her goal. So lets git er done Nomads!

It only takes 5 minutes on paypal...here is the address again aswmiso@yahoo.com

keep us updated like a telethon...on how we're doing akmaxx
