Taxes on rental property

Can anyone give me info on the rates charged and how you pay. I assume you don't need to have a MX corporation to do this type of business. Is this correct.

Any info on the situation on the mainland would be great also.

I am not sure if I understand the question. But the first step in paying taxes on money that you earn on rental property is to register with Hacienda so you can report the income. I am pretty sure that you have to have an FM3 but could be wrong on that.
Bruce you know about this kinda stuff dont you?

over at the Tulume area....

You may be thinking of a tax that is sort of like our "hotel room" tax. This is done on home rentals, rooms to let, and the sort.

I had not heard of "Licensed real estate agents" in Mexico. The real estate companies here say no license required.

He is mad at me about scolding him about changing the content of a post after someone else posts.

Hi Bruce.

According to the 2000 Mexican census by CENSO Los Cabos was the 323rd largest city in Mexico with a population of 51,790. It

The growth since 2000 has been even more explosive with many quoting that Los Cabos is one of if not the fastest growing area in Mexico. While it is very difficult to find actual figures to back up any claims about population many feel Cabo could be over 80,000 including people between the corridor and San Jose del Cabo.
