Due to Baja Bernie's urging (it didn't take much), I've resurrected my only actual short story. I thought I still had it on one or the other computer, but I had deleted it some time ago. I first posted this on the old Amigos board and my wife found a hard copy with Eric Robitaille's photo inserts. So I retyped it. Not wanting to put it on a fast moving forum like this one or the off-topic, I looked for a better place. About the closest I could come was "hiking and backpacking", because I was hitch-hiking and had a backpack at the time. So, if you want to waste some time reading it, there it is. At least until Doug decides to delete it.

All my childhood I wanted to be older. Now I\'m older and this chitn sucks.

You probably missed the old Amigos board (bajanet.com). There were a lot of good stories by Mike Humfreville, Davied Eidell and others. One by Desert Rat about his backpack wanderings inspired me to write this one.

Well Sir! You proved me right again. Thanks---You also posted a bunch of stuff about your camper (I believe) and your wanderings around on the mainland side the the Vermillion Sea,

Your connection with the Mexican people and their humor is what I appreciate most in all of your postings. To know them is to love them. Even a few of the rich ones are a bunch of fun to be around--but not most.

Everyone should go to the back pack area for a treat by Oso.

Not yet. Scroll down the main menu to "Baja Hiking and Backpacking."
