Punta Maria

Does anyone have an idea of expected water temps in the sisters area around June 22 through 29?

What should I expect for surf conditions, if it can even be predicted. We may end up there if the fishing is slow in Bahia de Los Angeles.

Thanks,

Big Al

Just checked the surf report and they said it would be flat that week....as far as I know that area is a "winter" spot....

Maria...

odds are not good for that time of year. Most of that area is winter only, very sheltered from southerly swells. Still a gorgeous place to camp and you're likely to be alone mid-summer. Also, some halibut around there. Water should be cold, low 60's. Doesn't warm up until you round the horn.

North Swell

The way the swell was last week and today, it is coming from the NW. Hopefully we will have a different swell pattern this year. Perhaps El Nino will be kind.

Actually, hopefully the fishing in BOLA will be on fire so we stay there.
