OK, I can figure out the surface attraction.

What else is it?

probably about the same as American women (of a certain age) w/ Mexican men (much younger) I would guess they fall in love and don't worry to much about the age thing.:light:

It's a man thing. Women will never understand. Truthfully there probably as many reason as there are people, every situation is different. In many, if not most cases, it is a macho ego thing, but not all. For some it could be the right place at the right time for the right reasons. Are you still confused? Me too.

I confess!

In my latter twenties I dated a young man ten years younger than me from Mexico City area. He was so classy! His family wasn't happy that we were thinking about getting married and him taking on the responsibilty 3 boys. He was sad that his family didn't approve and I knew that I would have to let him go as family was so important him. My kids still talk about him today 30 years later and I have never met anyone like him since. If he only knew what an impression he left with all who met him! It was truly a gift that he came into my life, a light, a promise of better things, encouragement to strive for all that you dream of. He's always in my heart.

. Same here. I don't think I could marry someone who was significantly younger than me.

I did, however, share a few bottles of wine, in a secluded eucalyptus grove, with a very attractive young Cuban lady the other day. Kinda felt like I was back in high school.

"Same here. I don't think I could marry someone who was significantly younger than me."

If you feel they are the "right" one, why not?? I'm rather satisfied with my choice. (Not Mexican but younger)

I agree with you bajalou. But a girl 20 years younger than me would be in her teens. Perhaps in a few more years I'll think differently

When I was about 40, I told my then wife, that these 20 year olds are sure nice to look at, but I sure wouldn't want one for my own.

When I was 52 I had a friend fix me up with a 27 yr old. I have to admit, she was a lot of fun and exciting to be with. The fact that I had a daughter that was 1 older made me somewhat uncomfortable. One day she mentioned to me that her biological clock was running. So I decided it was time I started running.

Dang! You don't have to be a guy to understand that. If I had time for a man in my life, I'd certainly prefer a younger one.

Seventy, say, or seventy-five.

We have a few Mexican men married to younger American women here in Mulege. also more older women marred to younger men. I don't know why you people have a problem with age or race in a marriage.
