Spider Bites
There was a thread a few months back about Baja home remedies(which I cannot find) and I kept meaning to post that for spider bites there is nothing
better than neosporin. For some reason the little boogers love me and if any of you have ever had a spider bite you know that they are the itchiest
bites in the world. If the water hits them in the shower, if your clothes touch them or if, god forbid, you scratch them the itch becomes almost
unbearable. The way to know if they are spider bites is not only the terrible itch but they become very inflamed and usually there is a core that is
either yellow or black.
Anyway a dab of neosporin applied repeatedly will do the trick.
Trust me I have tried everything!

You had better bring it/neosporin with you because the stuff is dang hard to find in Baja.
Anyone have a source?

A few years ago several of us did a motorcycle ride from Tecate to Mike's Sky Rancho. After we started the ride I felt my left boot getting tighter
and tighter. Just past Valle la Trinidad we stopped and when I pulled my boot off I had swollen goose egg on it. At Mike's I packed ice in a sock and
put on it while taking medications in the form of Margaritas. It seem to work pretty good, the next day the swelling was down.

TW, I like your medicine
I would recommend Tea Tree Oil (oil of melaleuca alternifolia) be in every Baja bound car as a first aid for most every skin problem, as a natural
anti septic/ anti fungal. It even neutralizes venom from poisonous spiders... it has saved lives in Australia (where it is made) from funnel web
spider bites...
A 1 oz. bottle will last a long time and is about $8 at the local Henry's or other natural food/vitamin outlet... I have even stated seeing it in
'normal' stores, like Wal Mart now.
