for many persons having a problem with there car in Mexico will be there first real experience with dealing with the Mexican way of life. I t can be
frightening at first but usually ends up as a good experience. many story's told to me are about how surprised tourists are at how good and friendly
the mechanics are and how they get so much help on the highway from Mexican people while all the Americans and Canadians just drive by.
I deal with these people almost every day as they tend to come here when they are having problems. I enjoy there stores and I like to be able to help
them out. maybe I would write a book if I could spell

Yeah, breaking down can seem like a real bummer. But had it not happened to us, we would not have seen alot of stuff as we just drove on by. Turns
out that what seemed like a bummer, turned out to be a great adventure and experience. But I think I'd rather not. It is a lot more fun to slow down
and smell the roses, check stuff out on the way to where you are headed, get there late and have a good story to tell when you get there.

Yep Debra
You've probably seen pictures of her. probably about 425,000 miles and the trans. is messed up again. I think it had something to do with towing full
trucks and trailers down south. And then when I got there taking it where most 4wd's don't go.
In other words, I haven't exactly been gentle with this vehicle.
I am already working on the list for the Baja Bamboo truck!
Baja can be brutal when it comes to vehicles.

... multiple tranny probs. You should when towing a vehicle with automatic trans, remove the driveshaft. Otherwise, depending on what kind of tranny
you have, it may damage seals etc.. Or tow from the rear and tie off the steering wheel.

Usually, except for this last trip from Agua Verde
It was the van doing the towing. The truck is a 5 speed. Trans. problem turned out to be a $30.00 part of some sort. allowing trans. fluid to enter
the motor oil???
