JRBajas 4 way test for weeding out chicken coopers
from true Baja Aficionados.
1. They only post to whine about something
2. They have spent very little time in Baja
3. They are generally the ones getting drunk and giving gringos a bad name
4. They try to make money selling inferior Baja related products based on 1 or 2 trips to Baja.

Getting Weeded
Do they have to comply with ALL four points to get weeded ? That seems to be the Rotary Test. Or is it One Strike and you're weeded ?
Do you use a Hula Hoe or a regular one ?

Well...
he's a huge wuss. I fire similar and often larger arms daily and have never so much as lifted a toe.
What a wuss.

How does one get to
fire similar and larger arms daily? That sounds pretty fun!

larger than .50 cal ????----
I am not aware of any handgun larger than .50 cal.-------please educate me.
"A wuss" ????--------I weigh 200 lbs. and a .50 cal hand gun sure would set me back on my heals unless you take real precautions-----like really
leaning into it in anticipation of the recoil. In fact, the largest cal. I have ever personally fired is a .45 and it sets me back pretty
good--------.44 mag. even more so.
What all this has to do with Baja is beyond me, but here I am responding anyway. Go figure.

Um...
I was joking. As a matter of pride, I've never fired a gun...BUT, I'm not YET living with the irrational fear of "the outside world" threatening "my
property" or "values." It's still totally possible I'll flee the city one day, hole up somewhere super remote, throw up a barbed fence and defend
my plot with a mean dog and a .45 in the waistband.
I'm still young you know.

I haven't seen a 50 cal handgun, fired alot of 50 cal rounds in the Army, would NEVER put that round in a handgun, it is almost as large as most
handguns in length, and lots of recoil. The largest production round in diameter is the .45 cal, the most powerful production round is the 454 casull.

.45 Recoil
My personal favorite has always been the .45 ACP and I've owned an M1911 longer than any other weapon I have. I'm always wondering about people who
claim to have a problem with the recoil. I'm a physically small person with fairly small hands, but I have NEVER experienced what I would consider
significant recoil. I've got a Ruger .357 Magnum 6" barrel that has a substantially more apparent recoil, but even that is manageable. When my wife
fires either, I can watch her tense in preparation prior to the trigger pull. I think the anticipation is what does most people in.
I have to admit, though, that I consider the whole .50 caliber fad to be something of a fetish. There really isn't a good use (civilian) for that
monster. I'd like to go somewhere, sometime just to fire one, though. Of course, it would have to be outside of California.

"The largest production round in diameter is the .45 cal, the most powerful production round is the 454 casull"
that is not true, the 454 casull was the most powerful a long time ago, until "the desert eagle 50. cal"
