Back at the rodeo, the mariachis squeeze in between the cars to play.

Sorry about the various photo sizes and quality. The shots were taken with different cameras and I did not adjust for dpi variances before posting.

Andy - I'm with Ken, no apologies. They're really good photos which show me just how it was to be there. Thanks so much for taking me, virtually, on your trip.:)

bajablue,

To get to the Punta Baja lighthouse, go to El Rosario and turn right where the highway makes a sharp left turn. (There is a tienda there on the corner with a large Tecate sign.) Just a few yards down the road there is a left turn (marked with a sign to Punta Baja) that takes you across the river valley and then West towards the coast. A few miles down the road past a few houses and tiendas you will come to a very nicely graded (and poorly marked) dirt road leading south towards the point. Follow it all the way to the end and you will be at the lighthouse at Punta Baja.

bajaandy, I really enjoyed these photos, especially after reading your fantastic report. Audrey and I were there for the festival, but did not make it down to Punta Baja. Next time for sure.

Thanks Bob. There were quite a few Nomads at the festival that I never got to meet in person. Seems like a lot of us were there but off doing our own thing. I saw the post that surfer Jim made about an observatory trip, and I'd love to do that. Maybe a few of us nomads can make it a group run.
