Ok I started this so will give my thoughts, I just think that its two-faced and inconsiderate and it just bothers me that someone would be so disrespectful of a forum they are participating in.

As you said, it has been nice the past few days and there is no reason to bring up ancient history. People are getting along better so there is no need to throw sandpaper into the mix.

Captain Mike has posted there for a long time, one reason is that they have a spot for aviation 'stuff'. I also read it on occasion (of course I also go to the off topic forum here) and have posted there. Baja Blackie, for the most part brings intelligent thought to his posts here--in fact sometimes I think he contributes more to the healthy and free flowing of information on our 'Off Topic' Forum than he does on his own site. (just my opinion)

I do prefer this board primarily because of all of the nice, smart, pleasant, and knowledgeable people who feel comfortable here most of the time. I do not understand why a brush fire flares up here with some regularity but it does and it is our collective job, if we wish to remain in this comfortable place, to carry the water buckets necessary to douce the small fires before they become large enough to cause any serious damage. So pass the bucket and let's get on with being friends and exchanging information on this paradise called Baja--heck do you remember the flake over Baja vs 'the' Baja--we even lived through that! Wow!

comitan something I learned many years ago is that when people act that way they are envies and why they cant just grow up is beyond me.

this forum is made up of mature adults and most of the people that quit or get kicked off are immature, so they look back at the bridges they burned with envy and self discussed. and after a couple of weeks or months they collapse into pathetic Little piles of Baja dust. and from that dust will grow a new crop of stronger mature Baja Nomads.:lol::lol:

Quite a while back the other board under discussion was a little too wild-eyed for me with their criticisms. But now I see more of the old gang from Amigos posting there and I wonder if things haven't mellowed. If people I once got along with post there it must be OK at least to some degree. But then I see Me No fatmouthing about me and others that post here and, well, it just keeps me away.

But I'm glad there are multiple boards. I would participate more than I do if it weren't for the combativness of a few. And I do agree that it is in poor taste to do to them what we complain about them doing to nomad. Very bad form. Just let it drop!

Old growth trees take millenium to grow. They can be taken down in minutes. Burns take eons to heal and the scars may show for years.

People can be the same way Bernie. "Once burned.........."

Really hard to just ignore flames that burn deeply, would you not agree?

Okay all this IS tongue in cheek

Bruce now I know I want you to run as my VP, JR can be our public relations guy, David K will be the party historian, Mike H will be installed at State, and Baja Sharks will be our Secretary of Defense with a special assignment of maintaining the bucket brigade in a state of complete readiness.

Oh! Darn! I almost forgot, Bajalera, will be my personal secretary and will be charged with pulling me back to earth whenever I get to carried away---And yes she received this position to calm the outrage of the gentler sex and to give us an air of "CP---er I mean PC."

The rest of you may contribute an unlimited amount of the coin of the realm and we promise never to give an accounting of how we spend your money--that is why we have no treasurer--they just get in the way.

If it ever appears that our party had even the slightest chance of winning in the State of Baja we would just wind JR up and send him forth to assure that we lose.

This IS a great home away from home.

Flash! I was just handed a note saying that Sharksbaja was declining his exalted position just because I got the Baja before the Sharks.---this is what caused the edit. What to do.
