What size bike is that ?
I used to ride a Kawie also Team green was my favorite.
Makes me want to go prerun. There is a CODE race coming up. October 15 Laguna Salada Mexicali. TW meet me there last year at Check#1 with his brother.
We had a good chat before I took over the quad. I plan on racing again this year. Not sure if I will go 4 wheels or 2...

Tom,
It was like riding a rocking chair.
Very advanced suspension in its day.
1973 DKW, 125 cc, 6 speed, air cooled, radial sunburst head, clocked 85 MPH on pavement.
Great bike when you had a great factory mechanic to get rid of all the neturals in the gear box.

Corky , that was one bad azz bike (the DKW) in its day.
I was lucky to have a Sacks 125 in 68' with more or less the same front end.
I remember I could easily smoke the 250 enduro's with that thing.
Your right , the trannies weren't real tight.

Near starting line at El Alamo road for the Baja 1000 1989. Me on the left and Richard Large on the bike. Rich and I did the race and it ended with
the engine sand papered in the silt beds south of San Ignacio. My one and only run to La Paz.

It was extra gas. We pitted our self and had nearly 75 to 90 or more miles between pits running a 250 two stroke bike. The story on this race was
really interesting with Rich broke and riding to San Juanico in a pickup with a couple of Mexicans drinking their vino. He was near drunk when I found
him.
