Fuel price today (10/1)
Heading north tomorrow so hit the friendly Rodriguez Pemex.
Diesel 5.060
Since I only use diesel - didn't go to the other island for the gasoline prices. Will fill up again in Mexicali tomorrow before crossing and might
get the gasoline prices to post.
For those of you stuck on resenting 9 - note the end number is a zero. (altho someone with a better calculator than my brain can tell me what the
difference would be (0 vs 9) on 15 gallons. Thats 9 hundredths of a centovo.

The IVA in mainland Mex is higher. The fuel ends up being priced higher because of the IVA.

Any ideas on the rough difference. Is it a fairly consistent delta.

Right on...
JZ... Bajalou is right...
IVA (our version of Tax) is 15% mainland....and in the border states with the US is only 10%.
Jim Janet: in Mexico we mainly have propane gas... and the same is use for cars, homes and/or commercial use....therefore the same price is the same.
