Storm system to the south, and TS Stan
I am visiting Los Cabos next week. Does anyone who is used to the weather this time of year have any idea what that storm system to the south is
going to do. weather.com says thunderstorms all next week. It even said it was supposed to storm today but the beach cam shows nothing but clear
skies.
Lookout ladies, Travis is on his way back to Cabo in October...........

Typically, those storms that do form roll off to the west without significantly impacting the peninsula. Otis was the exception for this year (so
far). You are now nearing the end of the hurricane season and should be fine. The GOES 9 sattelite photo shows some storm development off Acapulco,
but otherwise clear weather.
You should be fine. Go have fun - it is a great time of the year.

that is what I am hoping, that they keep rolling west or move up the mainland of mexico. I am watching the radar like a hawk today.

Keep watching
as we're not out of the woods yet as far as storm season is concerned. After the remnants of Otis passed us by the seas still haven't recovered.
Usually you know a storm's brewing when the water tells you. At least in Loreto it looks as though we need to remain cautious. How are conditions
further south?

Seas calm.
No wind.
Partly cloudy.
First time in months that we have been able to swim on our morning walks here in San Jose. Yesterday too.
It also has cooled down considerably at night...mid 70's...nice.
But I, too, have my eye on that mess south of us. Let's just put it this way....I have not put all the furniture back out that was storm proofed when
Otis was lurking.

With some luck it will bring just rain, so far not even a tropical depression. But it is in a position where going northwest it will hit here before
going through warm water, fingers crossed.

Don't know if it is still out there, or where it went, but Stan has left Oaxaca. Here in the city and the surrounding valleys it was steady rain for
two days. Overcast all day yeasterday and today partial clouds with sun. Reports of major mud slides in the hills to the South. Have friends up there
who are home bound, stores all sold out on food, but they still have elec. and telephone, don't know when the roads will clear for them.
Judy, more than happy to hear that it is cooling down in our neck of the woods, I wasn't looking forward to coming home to a sauna, expect it will
still be pretty hot, but with cool evenings, bearable. Sure am looking forward to getting home.
Hope to see you on the 16th at Octoberfest.
Saludos a todos, Sara

Headed up to LB today to take books to Tio's. They got a good soaking for a day or two while Otis was around but, as with everywhere around here, it
has been a very dry rainy season.
Looking forward to your return.
And sorry to report that the nights have heated back up a bit....low 80's

Will do if I see him, Den
This is why I like this particular link....it shows that we are in fact in the area where a storm may start. To look at sat maps etc, you would not
know. Looks like we are OK.

Thanks for keeping me abreast of the weather Judy. I will be watching closly the weather for the next few days, get a little nervous flying in at the
end of hurricane season. Been caught in the storm once, and that was enough. Hasta Prontito, Sara

Lo siento, JR...
Didnt see him anyway. I had the Popeyes revenge for lunch and it was awesome. Guess this should be in the restaurant area!
Everything is soooooooooo green. It is amazing. The cows and goats looked very happy and were kind enough to stay out of the road.
Beautiful ride up there and back.

My Brother just called from Mazatlan. Raining cats and dogs. Some good flooding but the winds are down. Ahhh ya gotta love rain. Makes the view so
much nicer.
