I was thinking of kayaking it. A friend of mine has done about three quarter of the island and told me he has heard that there is some water on the south east side, but is not sure where. I have kayaked everything from Cerralvo to Loreto

I have been all around that area many times, and never heard of any water anywhere on "the big island" - at least not drinkable water. Doesn't mean it's not there, but I would take that story with a BIG grain of salt.
