I think it's the moon

For some strange reason, despite what any of us say or deny, the arguments, controversial posts not pertaining to Baja, and fights on here receive the most replies and views.

It generally starts with someone that posts something that pees someone else off, then escalates to others chiming in on one side or the other, then come the insults and name calling.

There is also a select group who only chime in when there is one of these threads going on. And that is the only time you hear from these people.:?:

What this tells me is that there is a reason for so many Novelas on TV! Because people like this kind of stuff, no matter how much they deny it or pretend to be "better than that".

I think a solution might be more people posting more stories and photos pertaining to Baja. Except for one thing. Posts pertaining to Baja don't get near the response or views that the arguments and fights get.

Is it similar to looking at car accidents? Or dead people? Or are we just fascinated by negativity, arguments, fights, soap operas?

Now I realize that I am a major contributer to these controversial posts because I am somewhat outspoken and don't hold things in. But, I never thought that these threads would turn out to be the most popular amongst those who see themselves as above this type of behaviour as well as those actually involved.

I think perhaps it's just the american nature to enjoy this kind of stuff. But, let's just post more stories and pics. anyway. Can't hurt.

Isn't that strange? Someone like Diver can spend considerable time composing and writing an interesting Baja related story of which we most all can relate. He get a handful of views and replies.
Then a post with absolutetly no words, context or message comes along and becomes a playing field for non-Baja dirt slinging and accusations.

Go figger.

Jr, you are spot on with this one!
I' m tired of being labeled a proponent of one or another. How stupid. It's starting to take on the appearance of a dysfunctional family, only most of don't even know one another. Not that that has any relevance. It is a shame the exchange of info so many seek is inundated with soap box content.

A Nomad tabloid if it were.:D

What would life be without all the (extra)entertainment?

I'll try harder..........can the rest? :saint:

That's the thing there JZ

Not all threads need to have "issues". Like this one for instance. But watch this:lol:

I've decided it isn't the moon after all. I've decided that we gringos are huevones!

It is so much easier to have arguments, call names, create havoc, than it is to post pictures on here or write something worth reading without some genius picking the spelling/grammar apart.:lol::lol:

Right on JR.
I too feel liberated when I cross the line, even though I know that TJ always has another crazy traffic spin to toss my way.
And yeah, even though we have a marvelous bakery here in Oakdale I would always rather be in the little original Pan place across from the Rosarito Beach Hotel.
Ditto for Gigante over my local Save Mart.
But, get me past the last irrigated field beyond Cielito Lindo and........
TA DA!!!
The Real Baja kicks in big time.
Just my spin, it all beats sitting up here in Gringolandia.....

I don't know Jr. You've gotten way to civil. I know. Its probably just someone imitating you.

Something about Sally being intertained, by us beating each other up, sort of annoys me. Probably what I get for going to so many Women mud wrestling matches.:no:
