Getting Ready

Getting Ready
Headed to Baja on the 4th and hope to see some of you at the Mulege Tourney.
I'm in Monterey right now visiting a friend on the way and decided to give the boat a shakedown trip. A friend and I set out on Monterey Bay and just outside today. It's purring like a kitten. Checked bilge pump and bait tank operation and both are working great. The new steering assy. is like butter. The idle has been dropped down to where I want it and boat picks up and moves great. Tried the new fuel tank system and after a slight scare with engine cutting out due to air in the line is
worked great. Lots of line for fuel to travel and it was brand new and line so
no fuel in it. I added a 13 gal tank top the bow platform to balance out the weight of the live well. I put in a valve system simaliar to a truck system switching tanks from bow to stern. That and a new MyFi XM radio to the dash rounds out a few new toys on the boat. Also built a tackle system into the seats that holds 14 plano boxes and yes they are all filled, very organized.
We limited out on rock fish and used the bait tank as a live well. Beautiful day
on the water.
Can't wait to head south only a few more days now. Take care all and if you see a Klamath tin boat stop and say hi. Will be traveling with Hook.

Will be traveling with Hook in his white diesel with a camper. Believe its a lance camper and a ford truck. Boat is a klamath 16' pacific trailer. On the transom is says ACUDOC. We are staying in San Lucas Cove.
Boat has been decked out bow to stern. Bow trolling motor, Furuno fishfinders for and aft, GPS, radio, rails all around, bait tank, XM, and much more.
hope to see ya there

Got stuck waiting on suspension parts(which never arrived) and doing a interior (bamboo)remodel. Hope to be in Mulege early Nov. Look for a big blue Dodge Ram with mismatched tires. That would be me.
