That's surprising. Tecate has always promoted itself as the only border town devoid of that particular industry.

Dave, how did you discover that "pending sale" ??????:lol::lol:

I'm interested can we buy shares?:rolleyes: Say $100 a share?:lol::lol::biggrin:

Only if you have LOTS of friends. The price is $895,000 (dollars).

It's the 'Bar Turistica Chihuahua'. Been in business for over forty years.

<Now, 90 guys with 10 grand each might work. And you wouldn't have to worry about depleting the inventory:

Use it, still got it. ;D >

Driving on BC4 today headed home and heard a siren - looked up saw flashing lights in the rear mirror. What's this? I wonder, I'm not speeding much, 70mph in a 40kph zone. Mmmm wonder where the nearest police stations is in this area as I slowed up and pulled over. Stopped and rolled down the window and the plainclothes officer comes up and "hable Espanol?" Muy poqiito" response. He motioned for me to come to the back of my truck - I asked if he could open the door for me as the handle had broken off on the inside. I get out and he showed me where fuel had been spilling from the rear tank. I had fuled up a little earlier and hadn't got the cap on right so is sloshed out on the turns. As soon as they knew I understood the problem they hurried back to their unmarked pickup and headed off down the road. Never had to figure out the fine/mordida question.

Bola turn off

Some time ago, we were on our way to mulege. We had the truck packed full of stuff to tile our home. We were in a new 3500 chev. dually. My dad was driving and we had passed catavinia, we were on a rather fast pace. It was starting to get dark, and the cactus was starting to looking like demons coming out of the desert. We hit the straight away coming towards Bay of LA. All of the sudden we saw a flash light in the middle of the road, I dont know but we must have been doing 90. That new truck could really fly. There was a single person standing right in the road, he must have been crazy. what was he doing. My dad slammed on the brakes but it was a little to late! you should have seen the mess... It was horrible, just kidding.. but, by the time we did got stopped there was a bunch of guns pointed at us. The guy with the flash light came up to the side of the truck with his pistol pointed at us screaming something in spanish, he was as white as a ghost. I think my dad scared the chit out of him. My dad was just as scrared, i think he thought he must have killed the poor guy. After yelling at each other, The mexican police man told us to hurry and leave before he really got upset.. As we were leaving, my dad said,'' what an buttcrack, we could have killed that guy.'' This was a really quick check point! I dont recommend this method to everyone.

Bajalou - you should have whipped your "sindicatura" card out and started acting confrontational from the getgo - things would have turned out even better.
