Come back any time Price, glad you could make it to the party. Thanks to you and all the rest it was a great success. About 215 people enjoyed over 150 lbs of turkey slow cooked in smokers - none went home hungry - Quite a few Nomads made it, plus people from Colo., Calif, Utah, Canada ,Italy and of course, Baja California . Thanks everyone

And remember ---same time next year--

Well, today as I look around my patio and yard, can't tell anyone's been here at all.

It was a great party - thank you all-

At lease 12 of the BajaNomads made it, many meeting for the first time. If I miss anyone forgive me but let me know -

the SquareCircle
bajame
mick
Price
meme
wornout
ArvadaGeorge
TW
ElCamote
burrobob
Baja Angel
David K
wow - another one but CRS

Maybe next year, maybe a tent/seating spot for Nomads - but we do like to expose the rest of the crowd to them also so that might not be the best.

Anyway - thanks to all that attended for a wonderful day

My party wanted to come, but too many ppl had different places they had to be. If I'm in the area next year, I'll make it a point to stop on down. Thanks for inviting everyone for the Pavo its a real nice gesture on your part BajaLou...

In looking at the photos, I can only pick out a few Nomads.

Myself, meme, and wornout - plus ArvadaGeorge's motorcycle, squarecircle's truck and burrobob's burro.

I'll look and see if I can find any more.

but bajame looks just like her avatar

Sure was sorry to miss the feed but had a sudden chance to sell the Yuma place for 2 1/2 times what I paid for it and all cash and all expenses covered. Now in the market for a house in San Matias, lease or buy! Can not wait to get back to Baja on Friday the 9th.!!!! Pics make it out to have been a great party!

i had planned on being there as well..

actually we were gonna drive up from puertecitos the day before and stay in S.F.,but plans are easily altered in Baja and we ended up spending new years in Puertecitos and went to the potluck bash they throw there every year...as usual it was great with lots of great food and some real nice local folks as well...but i'm really bummed that I didnt get to meet up with some of you Nomads, hopefully next year!!!....the invitation was very cool and I would like to give some kudos to Bajalou for being so generous...I dont know if there is any kind of spring get-together planned but I will be down then and hope to hook up with some of you guys and gals:yes::yes: I will post a few pics and details of the Puerticitos trip soon

Thank you Lou and Teina for a great time and organizing/cooking effort!

Baja Angel and I enjoyed ourselves greatly!

We arrived near 2pm after a night on Shell Island and a late start Saturday morning... There still was plenty of chow on the tables to enjoy.

A newly bearded 'The Squarecircle' (who we didn't recognize , wearing dark glasses) surprised us as he was in line just in front and backed right into me (on purpose) for a good laugh.

We met many Nomads including Wornout, Mick, Meme, BajaMe, and Arvada George... perhaps a couple more? We also saw TW and Burro Bob... I met Burro Bob in El Cajon Canyon in 2004 and Angel and I had already known TW as well as BajaLou (and their wives) from previous gatherings. Sorry to miss El Camote as he left before we arrived!

We kept an eye out for Baja Ken and his Pole Line Road caravan... but driving Jeeps, we knew they might not make it! (just kidding Ken).

I will post a trip report today... look to the Trip Reports Forum here on Nomad.

Happy New Year!!!:bounce:
