Dangit, Judy, I won't be able to make it. Maybe next time.

Hi Bruce,
Kacey Smith posts updates on VOLUME 2 in her web site: http://www.bajagpsguide.com and last I saw, it ain't ready yet! But, I am ready for it!!! Here is what I read on Kacey's site this morning:
Baja GPS Guidebook Volume 2 2006-01-01
Pre-orders will start in March 2006. This guide includes new routes in the north that will blow your Fox socks off and picks up where Volume 1 left
off at San Ignacio and takes you all the way to Cabo San Lucas in a loop and back up. I've never had so much fun making some of these new routes....
especially in and around the central part of Baja!! You'll be so happy after each ride, you'll cry! hehhe hah ha ha.

BBAM Book Signing
Thanks for asking DK!
It went terrific. Cardon and GGG were there and identified themselves to me. Hopefully Cardon will post some photos later.
We had over 200 people not including the 20 something authors and wives, friends etc.
Bruce Berger read from his book, "Almost an Island"
CM Mayo gave a slide presentation which was very well received, standing room only.
Dick Russell talked at length about the effects of global warming on the gray whales. He is very concerned about this.
Then Sy Montgomery gave a brief presentation. Although she has not written about Baja, she has written about many interesting subjects regarding
conservation.

At 1:30 La Dolce delivered pizza for everyone.
Then Ann Hazard and her husband, Terry, chatted about things Baja.
Last was Michael Mercer, whose book "Bandidos" was banned in Todos Santos by the local book store. He gave a wonderful accounting of this incident
and read his new chapter "Writers and Realtors" I will ask his permission to post the entire presentation here if anyone is interested. I will tell
you that I laughed out load many times.
Meet the Authors hour from 4-5 with wine and hors d'ouevres from various contributing restaurants.
At 7 we all regrouped at a friends house in San Jose for c-cktails and dinnner.
Bruce Berger entertained with some fabulous piano playing.
Antiguas Los Cabos ended the evening with a tequila tasting of their mango, almond and granada flavored tequilas. Paired with miniture sweets from
"Sweet Dreams"
As you can see we had a full day.
Thanks to all who came and Ida Victoria has already said that she is looking forward to next year. A few of the authors have already signed on.

Yes Greg and his wife were there. He is one of the authors who said he would come back next year. We will probably do it again Presidents Day
weekend. BUT that seems like a long way off and I am still not over the last one.
I am happy to report that the book outlets here are reporting brisk sales of the books from these authors. BTW...they all showed up...check out
previous posts in this thread to see who all was there. It was quite an impressive list, IMHO

GGG is a Nomad. He actually came to the Ann Hazard book signing in Todos Santos as well. It was there that he introduced himself and his wife to me.
I love meeting Nomads. We do have a lot in common.......BAJA. We have had dinner in La Paz with some Nomads too. It really is nice to put a face
with a name.
Well I just did a search and there is no GGG. Maybe he will identify himself to me U2U. Anyway he and his wife were very nice and it was good to
see them twice!

Close almost a prize!
Judy
You were real close. The name is "tripleg". I'm sure my wife and I will enjoy the books. Will save them to read at home, which unfortunately will
be to soon. Leaving Sunday for the cool NW.
