Another loss: Nomad Dick Lang (Diklang)

Just received this today:

It's regretable that I have to announce Dick's passing Saturday January 21,
2005. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer and had started his first chemo
treatments. The strain of drugs and other factors were too much for the
heart, he had a cardiac arrest. He will be cremated and a family gathering will be
held in Temecula sometime in February. In liu of flowers a donation in
Dick's name to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. I'm so
sorry to let you know this in such an impersonal way, I'm sure we will be in
touch soon. Thanks so much, Judy

Thank you for passing along this information.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of another Nomad, and friend of Baja California. Our warmest thoughts go out to Dick's family.

May our Lost Nomad, Dick, be found in our memories as we travel again to Baja. Let's all lob a few good thoughts in Dick Lang's direction on our next trip south.

Rest in peace, Baja friend and fellow Nomad.

I am sorry for your loss Judy... Dick was a fun man who inspired festivity at every gathering you both attended... If I may, here are some photos a our Amigo and Nomad, 'Diklang' when you both attended Viva Baja #4 in 2003:

What a sad message.

I often ran into Dik and Judy in Bahia and we would always seem to run into each other again at the Fred Hall Fishing Show. I'll have to remind myself not to look for him this year.

He will be missed.

Judy, be well, know that many are thinking of you.

Your friend,

Paulina

I would like to send along my thoughts also - I met Dick twice: the first time at BBBB#1 and the second at Camp Gecko where he wandered over to my cabin and invited us over to somebodies birthday party. Always looked for him on subsequent trips.

Yes, indeedy, heaven must be livening up pretty well. I never had the pleasure of meeting Dick but I've seen a few posts with some "Back and Forth-ing" between him and JR.

Sincerest sympathy to his family from JR's.

Dick Lang

He was a special kind of guy who made friends & kept them.
He and Judy were among the "Special People" we have met in Baja. A real Amigo!
