Lest you feel like no one cared, we did some digging earlier tonight but came up with nothing that directly related to your legend. When you find out, let us know. There was a woman, an author of childrens books that kept popping up, but no specific mention of Papalote.

Don't leave us hanging. When you resolve the issue, please post.

Hmmm - neat painting in my dentist's office of "El Papalote"; belongs to the dentist's wife (from Oaxaca) and she's currently visiting family. Dentist knows painting represents a legend or being but can't remember more. I'll let you all know when Ma Dentist returns.
