SS in baja??

I was wondering how much it would cost a guy, or gal to live in Baja, I'm talking low end, not millionaires, are there people living in Baja on Social Security?
It may be too personal of a question for some to answer, but I'll offer this, in 1994-95 we lived in Baja for 18 months for less than 10K (family of 5)
??

If you own your home you can live on SS if not figure 20K

What is your definition of living? Do you mean renting, owning, or just camping on the free beaches?

My place is paid for and I do fine on SS, (just two of us). But 18 months on 10,000 must have been stretching realllly thin.

Also, take in account that prices have probably close to doubled since 1994.
The real cheap days are long gone. Except maybe for labor and taxes, cost of living in Baja is about the same as California.
