Hmmm... I lived in/near Escondido from 1970 to 1994 and I never heard THAT!!! It was always Nate Harrison... and he was a black pioneer who lived on Palomar in the late 1800's (I think).

Anyway... back to Baja!

Wow, you are absolutely correct! Look here...

Possibly David doesn't know this because this was during the 50's... Bob H

I can't imagine how you found that interesting piece, Bob--made me nostalgiac for good old Esco. Thanks!

Buenos Dias Bruce!

I got a couple of u2u's asking the same question!

I think I need to make 'got baja?' hats and shirts and go into business... might pay for all the free 'got baja?' sticker postage!

Until I do, there is a keosk in the local mall (Carlsbad) that will put anything onto a hat... uses a computer sewing machine. Hat with 'got baja?' is about $20.

In 2001, Amo Pescar had a pair of Viva Baja hats made for us... as we were going to start a tour business... 9-11 changed those plans.

you may want to consider having those hats (and tshirts and patches or whatever) made here in ensenada. support the local economy and pay far less...:tumble:

i know a great place on reforma...they too use computerized embroidery. they can create any graphic you can imagine.
:bounce:
think about it and let me know...
