Authenic Mexican Sustainable Rumor Mill
Playa Salanita-Loreto
It's the beach south of Loreto, from Colonia Zaragosa to Nopolo.
It's Ejido land.
And someone has made an "attractive" offer to purchase a big chunk of it from the ejido.
Rumored: Someone has a hidden open pit "strip mine" between Loreto and Nopolo where they have removed the desert for fill for their "sustainable"
architechture.
Rumored: Primer Agua near Loreto is now owned by a certain Big Developer. Fonatur said it's closed and in need of repair. I was there today and yes,
looks like it would take a couple of men all day to have it up and running.
Another rumor: The city government is unhappy about the proposed demolition of The Whale's Inn. They fear a reduction of hotel rooms will mean fewer
visitors and perhaps fewer airline flights. And you know, Loreto did sell out all its hotel rooms recently.
Well, that's all I have from the Authentic Mexican Sustainable Rumor Mill.

Don,
That maybe that Villa Group making a bid for that land. According to their news release, they purchased 1800 acres on Loreto Bay. Can't think of any
other land that would qualify for being on the Bay.

I suspect you are right. I heard it?s LB. But I also thought that it might be the Villa Group. Some of the locals tend to generalize these developers.
For example, I?ve heard that LB is tearing down the Whale?s Inn for condos, and I know that?s another developer. And yes, I would think Villa would
want a location with a sand beach: Salanita, Juncalito Beach or Ensenada Blanca, if one considers "Loreto Bay" stretching that far. Anyway, I heard
this from a friend who had spoken to the head ejido guy yesterday morning.
