Turn off Hwy 1 at the northernmost of the two ranches at Laguna Chapala. It's about 15 miles to Coco's Corner with a couple of washouts that cross the dirt road. The damage is minor and should not cause any problems. Between Cocos and Gonzaga there are several more washouts. When we were through there recently, there was one ravine that was sandy and we used 4WD to get through it. Coco told us it caused a bunch of Army guys in Hummers to get stuck. What a rip! After that the road into Gonzaga is pretty much OK. I'd say an overall average is about 2 hours driving time. It's mostly washboard, Good luck and write a report when you get back if you can.
