The restaurant near Doctor's Point, aka El Bajo, is nearing completion. At first view from the road it looks like a skyscraper out there:



And speaking of restaurants, the newest one on the malecon is on the verge of opening, maybe today:



And, speaking of the malecon, work is ongoing to remodel the Hotel Mision:

Thanks for reminding me that I have been away too long!

Where is the Mediterraneo?

I can't believe the Mision remodel. Looking at that in the past we always figured it was such a mess that it was a tear down. Who bought it?

I beleive the new owners are from Seattle, but that is all I know. Some of the added on parts may be rebuilt rather than remodeled.

Mediteraneo is on the Malecon, just north of Hidalgo.
