We had fun, as always when Baja Nomads get together!

On the way home we stopped at the Half Way House for another great dinner prepared by Chef Johnny!

We each had a lobster dinner ($22) which included ceasar salad and dessert... along with L.A. Cetto Blanc de Blancs wine.

Baja Angel had the Chef Johnny special garlic lobster (not on the menu) and I had the Half Way House style lobster (covered with a creamy sauce containing mariscos (shrimp, scallops, clams, octopus, etc.)

To end a great meal, a dessert (chocolate/flan cake with apricot sauce). Border wait was just 30 minutes Saturday night.

Dear group,

Our 4WD group arrived too late yesterday afternoon to attend the event. When we arrived shortly after 6 p.m., we were greeted in the parking lot by Greg Nieman (who somehow recognized me by name), along with several other Nomad/Amigos. A conga Latin group carried up their gear, and we were told that the party had moved about a mile away. Johns son Paige was very hungry and wanted to eat. Since the rest of our party had left for Ortega's we decided to return back to Ortega's where Johns going away party had moved. As we traveled up the free road towards Puerto Nuevo, we spotted David Ks pickup parked right up in front of the Halfway House, and we realized that we had missed everyone by more than just mere minutes.

We are sorry that we missed the book signing event, and thanks for posting those large signs telling us where to go! Once again, please accept our humble appologies...

We had a great tme there. People came and went all day but for the most part there were guite a few folks there. It was fun meeting alot of people I felt i knew allready from this board. we stayed at the resort so we got to spend some time with many of the authors before the event started and thet was neat. Baja bernie It was great spending time with you. The pot luck was great as was the tequlia tasting. I won't ruin Susanne's post with who won. I'll let her share the news. We have been trying to get to this event for a couple of years and finally made it. Now I can't wait till next year.
KERI. thanks for all you did It was a wonderful event. Sorry mike was not feeling well. Penny and I are glad to hear that he is feeling better.
Can't wait till next year MICK

Susanne and Pete were going to head on to L.A. Bay with Mary Ann Humfreville... So it may be awhile before we get the tequila results from her. Miguelito and Kevin where at the event to take their dad (Mike) north because of what happened to Mike.

Now we are talking a small world. I thought I was reading about myself and learning what my split personality has been up to all of these years while the one I am most familiar with lives the corporate life.

I am TimM and I too race baja (although until 2007...when daughter is old enough to race...the 2001 season was my last)... I do not run a tour operation though....darn....
