Yellow Tail
When do the Yellow tail start biting in San Francisquito?
Close to shore?
I want to drive down and get a few thanks.

According to Gene Kira's bok, June to November, with most fish being migrators passing through. One migration in June, a bigger one in November.
I don't know the area, but you are unlikely to catch them from shore; you'll need a boat of some kind.

In 1973 (July), I saw them being caught off the Puerto Escondido pier. Back in the 'old days' Punta San Francisquito bragged about yellows being
caught from the beach, I recall.
