Sounds lo-cal and high protein too!

It'll be right up my alley when I get back on solids in another mont (pobre de me). Sounds very much like the dressing they serve on one of the salads at the U.S. chain, "La Salsa". They throw in a little chile too.

Your salsa also sounds like it would make a fantastic marinade for beef or pork or a sauce to throw in the crockpot with veggies or chicken. - Stephanie

Pardon my bad manners, Sally--I never got around to telling you we've tried this dressing several times and really like it.

Thanks!

To be honest..

So glad you like it but I must tell you that I have never made it at home just because of the raw egg in the recipe. The owner told me it is to be consumed the same day/nite it was made. Guess the egg is why. Now I have to try it! Very kind Bajalera, thanks, Sally and PS to Stephanie, what salsa are you refering to?

The restaurant's name is "La Salsa".

I forget the name of the dressing they use on their chickent and steak salads, but it's a green dressing with a bit of a sweet kick ballanced with cilantro and chile. Really good. - Stephanie
