Diesel Availability

This is a follow up to my truck question. Since everyone seems to like the diesel trucks, I need to know if getting diesel in Baja is the same or more difficult to get than gas.

Jeans - must have been a different Big Al that gave you the CD. I never met you.

fuel

With new pemex stations popping up in baja diesel is readily available. Plus you never have to waite in line for fuel since the mexicans are prohibited from owning diesel vehicals. fishin rich

My experience, as well, is that diesel is readily available. Two things to keep in mind, stations that sell diesel may be out and not every Pemex carries diesel. Which brings us back to the common sense approach, top off every chance you get and carry at least 5 gallons extra with you.

Also, I have never had a problem with the quality of the diesel, but carry an extra filter or two, just in case.
