Old bumper sticker and photo

I am new to your Nomad forum but reading the posts have brought back many memories of great times in Baja.
I was looking for some old photos and came across a bumper sticker that I bought from the Clam Man of San Felipe.
I also found a picture of my girlfriend buying some clams from him early one morning as he walked up the beach with his whale bone staff. (about 26 years ago)

Stickers,

What a great photo!! I remember way back when I was a kid, huffing and puffing, trying my best to be patient, while my dad visited with his friend the Clam Man. He was usually the first person my dad looked up when we'd pull into San Felipe. Those were the days when my dad could duct tape his flashlight to the front fender of his bike to make it "street legal" for the policia. Good memories, thanks for reminding me.

You've got a keen pair of eyes Bruce. Those sandals were mine and I stepped out of them and backed up to take the picture. My old sandals were like my old truck; didn't go in reverse. Then the old Clam Man stuck his hand out and said "that will be one dollar for taking my picture". I was a little shocked (he spoke good English) and I asked him where he was from? His answer was "Chicago".
So his story went that he had lived and worked in Chicago before returning to retire in San Felipe.
He was the first thing I would see in the morning walking up the beach shouting "clams". His house was a display of flotsam and whale bones on the edge of town and he would invite you to his "museum" for a small charge.
