Old Baja Thoughts

The People you Meet in Baja

One a survivor, a Pole of Eighty-eight tough years.
He spent his early teens as a guest of Adolph Hitler
in the Death Camps of Europe.
He walked with a slow shuffle but looking
into his bright blue eyes and watching his smile
You saw a younger man still more than
willing to meet life head on.

Still one hell of a man.

Another in his prime, body buffed and tanned.
A large smile plastered over his face.
Eyes dull and distant.
No friendliness there.
A pompous fellow lacking a spine.
A pretty person from Palm Springs.

A cold and hollow thing.

The first a man of substance and soul.
Baja will make short work of the latter.
