Death of a great lady

For nearly 40 years Von and Agnes Freeze operated the Door of Faith Orphanage at La Mision.
(Yes, the same place that was on NBC Dateline recently, under new and not so great management)
Upon their retirement some 15 years ago Von immediately suffered a stroke and died.
This week Agnes also passed away and her service will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, 2 p.m., at Sky View Memorial Park near Benicia.
Agnes was mother to several thousand kids over the years. When the news of her last illness passed around there was a pilgrimage of former orphange kids to visit her on the Central California Coast.
She dedicated her life completely to the children of Baja California and the many many young people can thank her for the success of their later lives.

RIP Agnes...

This is the place and the people that Art McLaren and I visited first in 1964 and many times after that. See the story in Mi Baja No Hurry No Worry. Nice people who cared about the kids of Baja.
Saludos
