Perseids

Any good Baja viewing of the Showers tonight?
Here in NorCal we had a very nice hour with about a dozen sightings, about half were really big and bright.
The biggest and best all started close to Deneb and headed South toward Antares (none made it, needless to say)
A very special show again this year.

Brought back great memories of climbing Mt. Whitney with wife and two daughters 6 years ago on this night.
We lay at Trail Camp, 12,000 feet elevation, in our sleeping bags and watched the really big show, close up and personal!!!

Is it possible that no other Nomads spent an hour last night, lying flat on a lounge, looking up and enjoying the spectacle? (We are talking outside, and sober here folks.... perhaps that does disqualify a few)
Between 9:30 and moonrise, about an hour, we saw 7 that counted as real burners. Each and every one was worth the time spent, and seeing 7 was a real treat!
