Passport required?

My daughter's passpost expired in July; she has a birth cert and photo/school id. Will it work in baja next weekend?

Yep, we have never needed to show passports for us or our kids.
A birth certificate and photo ID is sufficient for your tourist visas.

G35Vortec454,

With my limited experience, I have found Mexican officials prefer valid passports. So do the US Customs. W/passports, less questions. W/O, more questions. It's my understanding that passports are not required, yet.

If both parents are not present, a notarized note granting permission to travel helps.

Where are you going?
