Hi Everybody!

I just registered to you board and wanted to say "Hi". I've been going to Baja since the late 80's although no where near as much as I would like. I even bought a couple of lots there last year. It's nice to find a board where I can read about other Baja people. Nice to meet you!

I bought two lots in a place called Del Morro in San Quintin.
It's next to Pedregal.
I choose there because it's about 5-7 hours from where I live in Costa Mesa. So theoretically I can drive down on the weekend. Plus it has a runway so if I ever get that together it's about 2-3 hours.

WELCOME TO THE NOMAD BOARD!

I'm fairly new to the board myself, although I've been LURKING off and on for a long time. I was a regular poster on another Baja board until it shut down several years ago, so I was known by many of the Nomad board members.

I'm formerly from the OC myself (HB and Lk. Forest), but now in Carlsbad.

WELCOME FISHBUCK!

Like Amo, I was a long ago member of the 'Amigo's' board. When it closed down, Doug picked up the reins and shakled himself to the horendous task of keeping these boards going.
You're going to be amazed at the longtime friendships and loyalties on this board. Spend some time in the arcives (sp?) and you will find a treasure of information.
I have not been able to get to Baja in a LOOONG time either, but I still come here to visit and live vicariously through others adventures.;).
Congratulations on your lot purchases, what are you going to build? as fast as Baja is being developed, you probably got in at a very good time.
Visit David K's website for VERY detailed information about Baja people and events. He has photo's of almost all of the Nomads at various party's, camping trips and book signings. His site also has links to almost anything about Baja.
Welcome again,
M (Michelle)

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I was a lurker on the Amigos board also.
I do plan on building in the future. I hope to retire there but it will be a few years before I an escape the SoCal ratrace.
For now I just go down and stay in the local cheap hotel and drive around the area in my pick-up. I go to my lots and fantasize so it's a good time.
I did manage to spend about 4 months driving all over Baja and would have stayed for good if I could have.

AXEL...

YES, that's my FORD w/ the Callen Camper...aka: AMO'S BIG UNIT.

I live right around the corner from the ANA and worked there until last March. BIG UNIT would be parked there sometimes, but usually is now parked in front of the apartments where I live on Ocean St.

Where do you live and when did you see it there?

AMO aka: Mike or Michael

Check out the Mugshots thread when you get a chance. You can meet some of the "regulars" sorta face to face.

Well, it is tough to pick 1 favorite. I'm partial to the Pacific side and really liked Mag Bay a lot. I really like Los Arenas area. I landed at the runway there before it was paved and the hotel was still open. I was there for the eclipse.
