Pacific side flash flooding??
Has anyone heard any reports from the pacific side about possible flash floods occuring from Jhon??
I read on another site about a major wash out flash flood around La ballena and la cuarenta. Thats between la laguna and san jaunico on the north
road in. I have dear friends in san jose de gracia and am concerned after seeing the recent photos of the Mulege event.

Heard from a friend this am (who heard from a friend!!) that there WAS flash flooding
in Todos Santos. I assumed that was right after the storm. They also said they were
getting rain almost every day.
We have someone checking our property this am so will report back. She would have
driven from San Jose to Todos yesterday. She did say that she was having a great deal
of trouble getting around due to the mud!
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!

I can only pray that this little valley does not look like Mulege in John's aftermath.
I am very scared..
can anyone from San Juanico report on the north road??
Or the extent of the flash flood in La Ballena??

Friends with ranchos from Ballena and arroyos going north have said no problems out there.
We're in Pta Pequena now. The most wind during the storm was probably 45mph and we got just enough rain to keep the dust down. Not bad at all.
But I've never seen so much junk from the arroyos on the beach and rocks on the point. There was an intact 30ft date palm with roots and dates on it
on the rocks at 4th. The nearest date grove would be either up the San Gregorio river or La Purisima so it traveled at least 20 miles once it got down
the river to the coast.

San Gregorio area/ Monday, September 4th
Alot of stuff for sure. I'm pleased to report that with all the "stuff" that was washed down...I hardly noticed any plastic. That tells me it's still
pretty clean up there in those hills!

Alot of debris and date palms on the beach at San Jaunico, this does not sound good for the mountians to the north....

Many of the arroyos in the pacific side saw historic amounts of water, people claim thet never seen so much water running in them.

i just heard that my son made it through on the north road from san ignacio to
san juanico today.said not to bad with 3 rivers to cross.

South Road Update:
Just spoke with a friend who came from San Juanico to Loreto today, Sunday September 11th. Said they have graded the road all the way from Purisima
Rio to San Juanico. The rio still has a lot of water flowing through it, but many vehicles are now crossing.
