Bruce,
God speed. I wish I could do something to help but my prayers will have to do.
Take care of her and yourself.
But I have to agree. She needs to see a specialist asap. Get on a bus if you are too nervous to drive....but move. This storm could do anything.
We are all with you.

Drive to San Diego and go to childrens hospital. They are great, they saved my daughters life who suffered head trauma.

Bruce, you get to Ensenada - we'll get you to a hospital in San Dee or the airport, your choice - but we vote with the rest of the Nomads: Children's Hosp in San Dee.

thank you all for your quick Nomad like caring and Help I have received many offers of help and cash to help us out. we don't need the cash and you save it for some one who will. but the offer are really nice from all of you. what we needed was advice and support and boy did we get it . I have never had so many really good Friends some Nomads are helping us to make this happen and I know you all would if you could. and many offered that I could not except because I could not possibly need so many round trips. the reason I need to go to Denver is I have Family there and that can help allot at times like this also it is the hospital that I know can do what is needed for my daughter. I will keep you posted on how things are going and our progress when ever I can.

it was 1005% nomads that helped us out and all Nomads can be proud .

God Bless you all
Bruce

Bruce ----
Which hospital in Ensenada?
The military hospital is open to the public and by our standards, considered good.
Holler if you need directions.

Burboa?
Never heard of it. That doesn't mean it isnt out there.
Hospital Valmar [ Velmar] is downtown and hires good doctors. Good, as well as good-and-expensive. ISSTECALI --- a mile away --- good.
Cruz Roja --- bring your own body bag.

My choice would be the military hospital. Very competent doctors and the prices are a gift. If they dont have an MRI, they know where one is.

Bruce --- This city is full of doctors. Marine scientists as well. The local schools produce them as fast as they can qualify them and that only takes four years. It floods the market with mediocrity. Look for a time tested institution, such as the military hospital. They arn,t pretty but they are good.
Let me know if you're interested.

Bruce, check your email. Military Hosp - we've heard horror stories. The hosp you mention , we've never heard of. We vote for Velmar and pardon us, Dennis, but expensive? Compared to what? We've sent many emergency turistictos there and they raved about the treatment and the price because your US insurance is no good here....The ISSTE's you have to be careful as they are designated for certain segments of the population (I think)....like government workers or something. Bruce, let's just get her here and on to San Diego. Any treatment in SD has to be cheaper than airfare to Denver!

When I first read Bruce's comment, I figured he meant Balboa....I'm not a CA person, but isn't there a Balboa hosp in San Diego? I KNOW there is a Balboa freeway!

Balboa hospital in S.D. is navy.

Excuse me BB, but horror stories are the face of medicine. I've been to the military hospital and treated well. My friend recently had a kidney removed there and he was treated well.
I dont compare local prices of anything to prices in the U.S. We're here and there is there. When I say expensive, it's relative to the local economy.
I agree with you wholeheartedly when you say take the problem to the states but, if a pit-stop is needed, it may as well be in a good place.

Been away a day... sorry.... a sad death in our furry family.

We're concerned about you and your daughter, my friend.

We'll be keeping you in our prayers. Let us know if we can do anything for you.

I have dear friends in Boulder who are a doctor / naturopath couple... Sweet folk who have kids and know how you're feeling. If you get in a jam for $, I'll be the first one to pitch in and help rally the Nomad troops.

Take care of the prioities, then let us know how your daughter and you are doing.
