Orange county to mulege (w/ stops inbetween)
Hello all, first time poster, long time baja fanatic! Just discovered this site a few months back and have just been your basic "lurker" until now.
The wealth of information here is really outstanding, what a great site! Lets get to the meat of this topic: leaving the 18th and will hopefully end
up in mulege with a few stops in between, the only reason i waited this long to post was the constant tracking of our latest chubasco.
My questions: how are the road conditions from san ignacio to mulege at this point? Is lodging still difficult to come by in mulege? I
understand for those of you who live in the mulege area that my questions regarding my itinerary are not nearly as important as the catastrophe you've
had to endure. I appreciate any responses I will hopefully receive.

Deep water
Wading thru all these posts and info can be very time consuming and difficult. All the info you seek is probably embedded somewhere here. There are
many connected people with that info.
Try doing a search first and if you can't find it, try asking a question at a time.
From what I know....and believe is true.....the road is fine to drive and I heard the big boulder has been removed (maybe not) many washouts repaired
with temp grading etc..
Hotels....good luck. but.....look hard....you might be lucky
Bring everything you need to sustain yourself (tent) if you cannnot find housing or a place to stay. I would not camp in Mulege unless you have to.
DON\'T SQUINT! Give yer eyes a break!
Try holding down [control] key and toggle the [+ and -] keys
Viva Mulege!

we were there just last sunday...a week after the storm
I brought ALOT of water but it was unnecessary....
As soon ast the electricty in town was restored they had plenty of clean water to drink.
I agree with sharks...don't stay in the trailer park area just yet...too much mud and possible problems but...
Equiples and Las Casitas were open with lot of customers.
Javier and Francisico will make sure you don't get any bad food
I saw a BIG semi delivering food and supplies to Sauls Market
Santispic and Naranjos did not get hit at all.
http://mulege.org/naranjos/naranjos.htm
Naranjos has clean casitas with 2 beds, toilet, cold shower and stove for $20-25 a nite...and they are EMPTY
These places are an easy 8-10 miles south of town
The roads are ALL clear...
there are some washouts from Santa Rosalia to Mulege but all have been temporally repaired.
The water was smooth...
Have fun
