How many small breed Dog Lovers are on this board?
While we are seeking like-minded folks, I have a pair of Chihuahuas - one a deer head the other an apple head and their respective names are Frida and
TJ. Love those small breeds - they fit in the back of our Jeep and travel well. They only eat 3/4 of a cup of dry food per day, so that leaves pesos
in my pocket for tortillas and Cerveza.
Below is TJ in my friend Billy's sleeping bag (location: San Felipe). Oh, and TJ has been labeled 'cute' by more several people over the years!

Ken...When I retire I want a small dog to travel with.
I have a preference for poodles. Mostly, for not shedding.
I think they are a intelligent people dog, as they don't bite.
Well, at least the one I had didn't. Finding a place to get their hair cut might be a problem in Baja.

Zoe , a rare "Norwegian Albino Terrior" discovered in Colonia Zaragoza is currently working guest services at the Iguana Inn.
She can be seen meeting, greeting and eating with guests daily, weather permitting.

I want to get a small dog to travel with one day. But for now we have this beast along with a Boston Terrier. Cute Chihuahua!

My Mother always had Chihuahuas..They all loved me. In her later years she lost one that she missed terribly. I bought her a new one, but because she
was in the hospital for awhile Pablo (she) stayed with me. When I finally gave her to my mother everything was great. The next time I visited Pablo
was glad to see me, but when i went to leave the brat bit me on the ankle. She tryed every time I dropped by and then tryed to leave. Great (weird)
dog.

One day I was walking my 240lb English Mastiff "Rhubarb" down the beach in Bahia. Out of one of the Diaz's hotel rooms a mighty small Chihuahua
charged us and attacked Rhubarb's ankles, taking him totally by surprise.
Rhubarb leaped sideways, coming in contact with my behind. I flew over him like a pommel horse, backwards, landing flat on my back while that little
bugger kept chasing Rhubarb a short way down the beach.
It didn't take Rhubarb long to turn the chase though. It was a good thing that Chihuahua was a fast runner and knew the get away army zig zag run as
he would have only been one mouthful for Rhu.
The owners of the Chihuahua came out of their room to only see that last part of the comedy and didn't think it was very funny. They blamed me for not
keeping a good hold on my dogs leash and for having such an agressive dog...
I prefer my dogs BIG.

We have two wiener dogs, Fred ( Dapple/red,4,fixed and the dad) and Ginger (more dapple/red,2,not fixed and the daughter... also the reason why Fred
is nutless as we don't wan't any banjo playin' pups from that combo!) He's pretty mellow now (see nutless above) and lovey dovey. Ginger however can
be a type" A" b-tch until she gets to know you. I think she is still in her pupdome, but they are almost waterdogs... chasing any beach chicken that
they see(but not catching). They are alot cooler than neurotic chihuahuas

The only thing he was ever registered for was obedience school. He flunked out. Nevertheless, he is the best dog in the whole world. At least Don
I think so. Julie might disagree.

The one I heard is a bit different, kinda like carp.
Strap the little bugger to a large thick plank and place over hot coals on an open fire, plank down. Once cooked to medium well, remove the chihuahua
and serve the plank over rice with garlic mashed potatoes and chihuahua gravy. YUMMY !!
'Chihuahua Gravy'; Boil cooked puppy carcas in 4 cups water and two cans tecater (must be cans). Once reduced to 2 cups, add 1 oz of cheap tequila,
thicken with butter and flour and pour over plank, rice and potatoes.
Even Yummier !!
I gotta go find that Chihuahua flan recipe !! You'll love it !
Oh yeah, can't forget the pate' de perro either!

Paula,
I love Filmore, he keeps me in shape by trying to attack everytime I visit. We also spent a lovely night together last year, very memorable!
