PHOTOS! Gonzaga Bay and El Camino Real Hike

I made a new web page that has photos from last Thanksgiving weekend at Gonzaga Bay. Included are eight taken along the Camino Real as it climbs from the desert near Gonzaga up towards Mision Santa Maria, built over 230 years ago! Details and GPS waypoints included. Enjoy! http://community-2.webtv.net/VivaBaja/1103

David--Great Photos

You are the king of photographers. These are really well done. I generally save your scenic photos and use for my start page. Well done.

De nada amigos!

Chris took the photos on the beach at Gonzaga and the ones of me on the trail, naturally. Not bad for a disposable camera, huh?

I want to walk all the way to the mission and back. Perhaps up on the Camino Real and back down in the canyon via the Indian Trail. The daylight factor will mean an early start and when the days are longer, but not in the heat of summer. I think 10 hrs. for the (estimated) 10 mile round trip will work... leave at 7am, back at 5pm.

Just something to plan for, right? That part of Baja is sooo coool: Boojums, Petroglyphs, palm trees, running water, an old mission, tons of quartz, miner's diggings, the original travel route through California! God, thank you for making Baja!
