I heard through Saul in Mulege that there was a rumor going around that Mike George, who built the Hotel and Resturant, and the Homes at Playa Buenaventura, has passed on. Saul said he heard it from Vern who lives at the Serinadad??? Any imfo would be appreciated

While in Mulege at Thanksgiving I was also told that Mike had succumbed to cancer.

His ex, Olivia, told me in early November that he was ill and in Arizona. Did not know that he'd lost the battle.

By the way, did anyone hear how Mark and Olivia did in their trial in La Paz? She said it was set for November 11 and I wonder what the result was?

Sent some time with Mike about 2 years ago looking for scallops to be cooked up in the restuarant, good time and good food. We miss seeing Olivia, she was a great host. The same time, we met up with some Harley riders ( I think one Indian) who were there, all obviously in love with Olivia. We (my daughter and I) were staying in one of the huts and the bikers who stayed later and drank more than we did gave us about a 5 minute "straight pipe symphony" as they left the restuarant. We enjoyed the first 3 minutes of it. Had breakfast with the bikers the next morning and played a few games of cribbage. One of the bike riders was a contractor from Montana (I think). I believe his name was Mike as well. He had a place at one of the beaches a few miles north of buenaventura. They were headed south to Todos Santos, but he invited us to stop at his place and use his kayaks, which we did. Does anyone know who this "mike the biker" might be??

Is that the same Michael George that used to own the sports bar off the main square in Mulege? He also used to fly a twin engine that he parked at serenedad. Sad news.

That is the same Mike!!! I knew him for 5 years, had alot of fun with him and my kids and nephews also had fun and are saddened if he has passed on. After his seperation from Olivia, he moved onto Guymas and open a resturant and sports bar.

Lo Siento to Mikes friends and family. My last memory of him was sitting at the c-ck fights in Mulege in the section reserved for the jefes and money guys. He had his Panama Jack Hat on, and was the only one in the entire place who was allowed to take photo's. I do remember him telling me he was selling the sports bar and moving to Mulege, and our parting words. " when flying speed and altitude are your two best friends" I'm raising a glass now to Mike and saying fly high and fast my friend, you will be missed. Minnow
